Hello Mr Ridgeway;
I
am writing to thank you for the wonderful experience of being
hypnotized in your show last night at the Knights of Columbus Hall in
Bethalto. One experience I always wanted to have was to be hypnotized.
I was kind of scared at first but then I thought why not try. I had
never seen anyone ever get hurt or anything of the sorts on television
when I had watched shows of hypnotism. I did not know what to expect and
even whether or not it would work on me but I thought I was going to
give it a try because you made it sound like an exciting, fun and
relaxing thing to do. When you said that I would feel like I had had a
very rested 8 hours sleep and would feel wonderful after it was over I
just knew I had to try it because I do not rest well at all and here
was my chance.. Here was someone that was going to make me feel all
rested and relaxed so I knew I had to do it. Well once on stage at
first it was a little scary but you made it sound like so much fun
that the frightened part of me went to the back of my mind and the
excited and fun part of me was ready for anything. None of us on that
stage knew what kind of wonderful and thrilling and fun experience was
ahead of us for the next hour and a half.
My
heart was pounding at first but the next thing I knew was I was very
relaxed and feeling good. I did not know what to expect when I was
hypnotized. Whether I would remember what went on or whether it would
all be like a dream or if I just wouldn't remember a thing. Well now I
know what hypnotism is . When I would hear your voice it was as if your
voice was the only thing in the room and whatever you said I just
wanted to do it, I know now what hypnotists mean by power of
suggestion. That is exactly what it was. It was not scary or
frightening nor while I was up there did I feel any anxiety about what
you told me to do. I just knew when I heard your voice that it was the
right thing to do or say.When you would suggest something it was as if
it was in my mind what I was seeing but yet I still knew that I was
fine. Someone asked me after the show if I knew what I was doing and if
I remembered and yes I did but when I would hear the words from you I
just wanted to do them. Before the hypnotism part of your show you told
us that you were not there to make people do foolish things
like bark like a dog or quack like a duck which you didnt. Your show
was Fun and Entertaining which is what you set out to do. I am so
excited about receiving the tape you made so I can actually see myself
under hypnosis and the others too.
After it was over I had not
felt so good in a long time. I have had numerous surgeries and am on
strong pain medicine but for quite awhile after you sent me back to my
seat I felt absolutely great. I think I could have floated on a cloud.
So
I am closing this letter and thanking you once again for a very fun
filled, exciting and educational hypnotic evening I had and I hope to
be able to see your show again or maybe even be in your show again.
